Objective of the study programme:
Prepare highly qualified specialists of social industries able to operate in a wide field of social industries, to initiate and implement community-oriented projects, to encourage partnership between public, private, civic and research sectors.
After completing the programme of Social Industries and Communication graduates will be able to:
In a new and unfamiliar environment understand and construct appropriate methods and tools of social communication suitable for dissemination of ideas of social industries and social business.
Apply quantitative and qualitative research methods for the analysis of social communication practices, modelling of social innovation, creating and implementation of innovative social business ideas based on holistic socio-educational paradigm.
Identify, evaluate and apply in practice essential the EU and Lithuania’s principles of active social involvement ensuring implementation of the projects of social industries and communication relating the ideas of projects to customers’/users’ characteristics.
Be able to use public spaces of communities for sociocultural purposes, creatively applying multifunctional, based on different criteria and sectors principles of smart communication and social industries, analysing and creating theoretical and practical models serving the needs of different social groups.
Create and implement integrated strategies of social communication, social industries and mediation strategies, campaigns, using a range of communication tools; cooperate with different target social groups and institutions.
Integrate and bring together an interdisciplinary team for implementation of strategies of social industries in projects, continually improving and upgrading acquired knowledge and skills in the context of lifelong learning, using the newest developments in science

Methods of assessment of learning achievements
Cumulative assessment is used to evaluate the student’s knowledge and skills. Study of each subject is finalised with an examination, evaluation of independent work, an independent creative project or defence of Master Thesis. The final mark of the cumulative assessment includes students’ participation in class, interim tasks, independent work, and examination as it is indicated in the study subject description.
