Objective(s) of a study programme: - to prepare a primary education pedagogue with higher college education who is able to model education content and manage educational process, recognize a student, create safe environment enabling a student to improve and disclose his individuality, assess a student’s achievements and progress, collaborate with other participants of educational process, organize professional activity research, improve consistently own professional and personal competences.
Students will know modern education/learning theories, education trends, primary and pre-school teaching strategies, techniques, technologies, subjects’ didactics, learning outcomes assessment and self-assessment methods; will understand education policy direction, will acquire knowledge about a person and society’s sustainable development, healthy lifestyle, and human safety, education management, leadership; will be able to analyze efficiency of school activity, organize and implement professional activity research, tackle education issues, applying the newest information and communication technologies; will recognize general and individual students’ development regularities, peculiarities and expression, will be aware of education context of children with special needs and gifted children, will assess their educational needs and individualize ways of their satisfaction; will be able to model, individualize, differentiate primary and pre-school education content, plan, organize educational process; will be able to apply students learning outcomes assessment and self-assessment methods, will be able to encourage individual education progress, will help students to create personal motivation, will perfect their abilities to learn; will be able to create safe, tolerant, environment promoting learning, will create conditions for formation of values and social skills, comprehensive personality development and self-expression; will be able to use various teaching aids in educational process, digital technologies and equipment, to speak native language correctly, communicate in foreign language in professional activity; will be able to communicate and collaborate positively with participants of educational process, work in team, coordinate project activity; will be able to reflect, own pedagogical activity, to take responsibility for own activity results, to develop consistently general, cultural, social and professional competences, develop professional values.

Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Learning outcomes are assessed in ten-point assessment system. Examination or independently prepared project is the final assessment of the course. The final assessment consists of the sum of the arithmetic average of interim accounts and the assessment of the examination, multiplied by the relevant leverage coefficients.

Distinctive features of a study programme:
This study programme of college studies is intended for training of primary education pedagogues who are also able to work in pre-school education groups.

Access to professional activity:
A graduate will be able to work as a primary school teacher and/or pre-school education pedagogue in state and private educational institutions.
Access to further study: upon completion of primary education pedagogy degree program, graduates can continue in higher education in the field of social sciences, pedagogy programmes and pursue a bachelor's and master's degree.
