Pre-Bologna research master's degree in the field of transport studies (no legal status)

Qualification Information

Graduates will be capable of leading development institutions and other development groups in transport companies, insurance companies and in the specialised services of relevant ministries or at a chamber of commerce.

Students of this postgraduate programme can continue their studies in a doctoral programme and become research fellows at the Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport or leading researchers at related institutions.

  • Enrolment in the programme is also open to candidates who hold an academic bachelor's degree or a professional bachelor's degree in any field under the conditions laid down by the Higher Education Act and who are proficient in English.

Students' knowledge is assessed by means of practical exercises and seminar papers, and also via products, projects, performances, services, etc. and by examinations. Examination performance is scored as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Students complete their studies when they have successfully met all prescribed requirements of a study programme. Graduates of this programme must complete the programme by the 30.9.2016.
