Qualification Information

Candidates will be able to:

  • plan and organise own work and the work of a team

  • operate multicolour offset printing machines and rotary presses 
  • carry out offset printing 
  • carry out varnishing in offset printing
  • carry out additional technological operations (vanishing, folding, perforating, etc.) on printing machines and rotary presses

At least elementary education and five years' work experience in the field of offset printing; or

  • At least a secondary school qualification and two years' work experience in the field of offset printing; or
  • At least a vocational school qualification in the graphics field and one year's work experience in the field of offset printing.

Verification and assessment are carried out by committees for the verification and validation of national vocational qualifications, appointed by the National Examination Centre (NEC). Committee members must be licensed by the National Examination Centre. List of licence holders may be found here.

Providers of procedures for identifying and validating national vocational qualifications are entered in a register of providers maintained in the relevant database of the National Reference Point for Occupational Qualifications. Providers include: vocational schools, companies, inter-company training centres, adult education centres, chambers of commerce, etc.

VALIDATION. During the counselling process, the candidate prepares a portfolio. The relevant committee assesses the portfolio and validates catalogue content in part or full. If the committee is unable to validate all catalogue content, it assigns tasks to the candidate for verification. 

VERIFICATION METHOD. Practical verification with an oral presentation.
