The National Qualifications Registry of Greece is a special software application (Database) that will include the qualifications classified in the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and referenced to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
The subject of the programme is to provide quality knowledge on issues connecting Didactics with Natural Sciences, Informatics and Computers, Engineering and Mathematics, as well as the promotion of research in this scientific field. The objective purposes of the programme are the following: A. Supporting research on the didactics of the natural sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Informatics and Computation Science, Engineering and Mathematics. B. The creation of an organisational structure for the development of a depository about the above cognitive subjects. C. Production of specialised scientific and research workforce, specialised on the above cognitive subjects, who are called to reduce the chasm between the technological potential and the reality, and submit proposals connecting Didactics to these subjects within the context of the research and development programmes of the European Union. D. The preparation of education employees and educators for the development of best practices for the analytical programmes for education. E. Production and use of materials produced by the postgraduate programme on teaching of the undergraduate students of the School of Pedagogical & Technological Education (ASPETE).
MASTER’S DEGREE (METAPTYCHIAKO DIPLOMA EIDIKEFSIS)
"During studies, the postgraduate students are obliged to attend and successfully pass the examinations of postgraduate courses and prepare a postgraduate dissertation.
Each postgraduate student is obliged to attend and pass twelve (12) courses. During semester A' and B', students are obliged to attend and successfully pass courses that refer to thirty (30) ECTS credits per semester of studies (six (6) compulsory courses during A' semester, and six (6) compulsory courses during B' semester). During the 3rd semester, the students must prepare a postgraduate dissertation, which amounts to thirty (30) ECTS credits.
In order to acquire the Postgraduate Diploma, ninety (90) ECTS credits are required.
The course language is Greek and/or English.
The programme of the six-month postgraduate courses is organised in four thematic fields, and it is formulated as follows:

First thematic field: Theories of learning and Didactic Models - Epistemology

2. Education Policies and Research in Didactics in STEM – Contemporary Socio−Cultural Perspectives on Teaching and Learning − Curriculum Studies in Computational Sciences
3. Contemporary Perspectives on Teaching and Learning
Second thematic field: Epistemology and Modern Didactic Approaches to the cognitive subjects of Sciences, Engineering, ICT, and of the Computational Science and Mathematics.
4. The Cognitive Area of Computational Science
5. Digital Learning Objects − Digital Repositories
6. Digital Authoring Tools for e−Learning
B' Semester: (30 ECTS CREDITS)
Third thematic field: Research Methodology
1. Fundamental Principles of Research Methodology
2. Statistical Software for Quantitative Research
3. Statistical Software for Qualitative Research
4. Education Research in STEM Disciplines
Fourth thematic field: Presentation and development of Computational Methods and Innovative Teaching Practices for Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, Computational Science, and Computer Science.

Holders of qualifications that belong to this type may work either as self-employed or in positions of responsibility in companies and organizations in the private or in the public sector.
Access to this type of qualification have those who hold a Bachelor Degree (level 6). The selection of graduate students is mainly based on the following criteria: the overall grade of the Bachelor Degree, the grades in undergraduate courses that are relevant with the subjects of the Master’s program, the performance in thesis, where is foreseen at the undergraduate level and any research activity of the candidate. The detailed application of the above mentioned criteria, the definition of additional criteria or the conducting of examinations and interviews, the results of which are taken into account in the selection, are determined by decision of the relevant Department.
Holders of such qualifications gain access to study programmes at the same level or at level 8.
Qualifications of this type are acquired via formal education.
