Master of Science in Banking and Finance - Full time format

Course Information

The Master of Science in Banking and Finance offers a comprehensive curriculum encompassing both classic and more recent areas of the finance discipline as well as the principal functions of banking. It is structured into five components: Core courses, Stream courses, Elective courses, an academic week-in-residence, an internship and Elective Practical courses.

All full-time students spend a residential academic week at a leading business school where they follow a tailor-made programme based on courses already followed, and intended to deepen their understanding of specific financial topics. The current location of the Academic Week-in-Residence is New York University, Stern School of Business, New York.

As an integral part of the programme, full-time students are required to perform an internship for a period not less than 12 weeks. Students are free to seek the internship that suits their interests and objectives in banking or finance.

Access requirements: 

To be eligible in the MSc in Banking and Finance, candidates must have a:

  • Academic requirements:

    • Master’s I degree (240 ECTS), or
    • four-year Bachelor’s degree (240 ECTS), or
    • three-year Bachelor’s degree (180 ECTS) with 3 years’ relevant professional experience in Banking and Finance

 

  • Language requirements: 

    • being a national of an English-speaking country or
    • having a degree that was taught in English or
    • having an English proficiency certificate representing a TOEFL score of 72 or its equivalent, as long as this qualification is not more than 2 years old.
Admission Procedure: 

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be selected on the basis of their past academic performance and a personal interview with the Academic Director or Programme Co-ordinator.

Grants: 

Self-financing students may be able to benefit from financial assistance (loans, student subsidies) by the CEDIES (Centre de Documentation et d’Information sur l’Enseignement Supérieur), Luxembourg.

 

Costs: 

Tuition fees for the full-time programme amount to 17 500 EUR.  This amount includes the inscription to the residential academic week at the New York University Stern School of Business (courses and hotel).
