Learning Opportunity: Master in engineering in Simulation and Visualization

Master in engineering in Simulation and Visualization

Course Information

Simulation is used in all disciplines of engineering and science, in business, the public sector and in education. Some examples are simulation for solving traffic congestions, simulation of heat loss in a building, machine learning for use in medical diagnostics, training of a dangerous marine operation in a ship simulator, and virtual prototyping for simulating and visualizing new product design.

In the Master's program in simulation and visualization, you learn simulation methods for use in your own field of expertise. The aim of the program is to educate innovative engineers who can apply their expertise in modelling, simulation and visualization to solve complex problems.

The program consists of various methods such as simulation of dynamic systems, artificial intelligence, swarm intelligence, machine learning and Monte Carlo simulation. You will also learn methods for data visualization and interactive computer graphics, in order to understand simulation results, or for making simulations look realistic.
