The Jacobs University is a private, independent university, registered as a not-for-profit organization. The primary language of instruction and campus communication is English. It was opened in 2001. The university´s founding was supported by the city-state of Bremen, the University of Bremen, and Rice University in Houston, Texas.
Certificate of secondary school completion such as the German Abitur (i.e. International Baccalaureate, High School Diploma (with recommended tests depending on your region), GCSE A-levels, etc.) plus English Proficiency Test: TOEFL (Paper based: minimum score of 575, or internet based: 90) or an equivalent test is required for admission if English is not your first language.
