Course Information

Objective(s) of a study programme:
Prepare highly skilled professional bachelor of Information Systems Technologies, who can create and support high information systems level in organizations; exploitation and control and their systems technical and software devices, which match region, state and foreign market demand; graduates will be able to compete in a constantly changing labor market; graduates will be able to improve and change working conditions in a globalized.
Learning outcomes:
After completion of the study programme, a graduate will be able to:
Exploit hardware of computer and computer systems;
Exploit software of computer and computer systems;
Exploit computer network;
Analyze needs and possibilities for the use of information technologies in the organization;
Create a custom software application for specific user needs;
Manage and control the organization's information resources
Think creative and critically;
Hold professional competence throughout LIFE LONG Learning;
Integrate speciality knowledge with fundamentals of business and management;
Know-how to apply knowledge and skills in the activities of engineering;
Know-how practical solutions of engineering tasks.

Activities of teaching and learning:
In the study process are applied various teaching and learning methods and the virtualization of study process as well. The  student- centered teaching and learning oriented towards self- independent work, reasoned by tasks, a group work where Problem Based Learning takes a very important role.
In the programme is designed to reach an active students’ participation in the study process, a creation of educative environment applying such methods like and interactive lecture, discussions, a practical work, case studies, study of scientific literature and other informational references, solutions of problem based situations.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
In the study process accumulative score system is applied. Using this system, each score is based on the criteria linked to the program and module/subject learning outcomes. Final assessment of each module consists of the weigh average of interim assessments of the subjects included into the module.
Information about student achievement and testing procedures is presented in the module program.
Assessment methods of each module and the subjects are described in the descriptions of the modules and subjects.  Different methods used to assess study achievements: an examination, a course paper evaluation, an assessment of the project work, a practical work assessment, a test, a report presentation and others.

Module Fundamentals of Information Systems Engineering: Information systems and Databases, Fundamentals of System Engineering.
Management of Computer Systems (Module) Subjects:
Management of IT projects, Management of Computer Networks, Computer systems.
Management of Internet Projects (Module) Subjects:
Management of IT projects, Computer Graphics and Animation, Website Design Technologies.
Mobile Devices (Module) Subjects:
Operating Systems of Mobile Devices, Management of IT Projects, Programing of Mobile Devices.

Distinctive features of a study programme:
The program uses problem-based learning.
Are recognized skills gains in non-formal and informal ways.
After the completion the study program of Information Systems Engineering students are awarded the opportunity to continue their studies half year (part-time studies 1 year) and to listen the 30 ECTS credits covering management and business administration subjects and to acquire adjacent Business and Management Professional Bachelor's degree.
