Course Information

Major subjects: introduction to the study of the history of Europe, European pre-history, ancient history, history of Western Europe (Middle Ages; 16th-18th centuries; 19th-early 21st centuries), history of Central and Eastern Europe (Middle Ages; 16th-18th centuries; 19th-early 21st centuries), history of Northern Europe (until the 17th century; 19th-early 21st century), Lithuania in Europe (until the 17th century; 19th-early 21st century), Latin, foreign language, philosophy of history, theory and methodology of history, history of European art and architecture, history of European law, history of European diplomacy, history of European colonialism, history of the European Union and the EU institutions.
Practices: archaeological (source study and/or interpretation) practice (2 weeks), museum or archival practice in the major museums and archives in Vilnius (2 weeks), Euro-practice in the institutions related to the EU activities (2 weeks).
