General Toxicology, Master of Science

Course Information

The aim of  Master’s Degree Programme in General Toxicology is to educate toxicologists capable of assessing chemical risks to humans. This undergraduate program serves also as basic studies for the PhD program in toxicology. Knowledge in general toxicology is built up from basic studies, including e.g. courses in Organ Toxicology, Toxicology of Compounds and Genetic and Reproductive Toxicology. Basic studies are followed by more advanced courses like Information Retrieval and Legislation in Toxicology, Immunotoxicology and Occupational Toxicology. The course in Regulatory Toxicology and the last and largest course, Toxicological Risk Assessment, include specific knowledge about the scientific basis and practical procedures in chemical risk assessment.
