Forest Operator - Adult Education and Training Course (EFA)

Course Information

The Adult Education and Training Courses (AET Courses) are an offer of education and training for adults who want to raise their qualifications.

These courses are developed according to dual certification courses and, where appropriate, to the profile and life history of adults, only for school qualification.

These courses also offer the possibility of acquiring school qualifications and / or professional competences, with a view to (re) insertion or progression in the labor market.

Adults who already hold the 3rd cycle of ensino básico or the secondary level of education that wish to obtain a double certification may, whenever appropriate, develop only the technological training component of the corresponding AET course.

Prepare and perform tasks related to the maintenance, protection and operation of woody and non-woody material, as well as tasks related to hunting activities in forest areas, in order to ensure the sustainable management of such areas, while complying with safety, hygiene, and health in forestry work standards, and with environmental protection standards.

  • Understand isolated phrases and frequent expressions related to areas of immediate priority; Communicate in simple tasks and routines that require only a simple and direct exchange of information on subjects that are familiar to you

    The completion of a EFA, with full use, grants a school certificate equivalent to the 2nd cycle BE, 3rd cycle BE or secondary education, or a certificate of school competences, and a professional certification, level 1, 2 or 4 qualification of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), depending on the course taken.
