Objective(s) of a study programme:
Prepare a highly skilled engineer of electrical energetic, the specialist who has sufficient knowledge, abilities and skills required for the global market for engineering activities, using the latest technology, who is ready for responsible professional activity in the constantly changing labor market.
After completion of the study programme, a graduate will be able to:
Analyse and select structural electrical energy sources and network solutions;
Design and calculate electrical circuits of electrical schemes in the object under design: main, second ( accessory) circuits, security and automation, select proper equipment;
Calculate work mode of various purpose electrical devices;
Prepare the project documentation of electric systems under design;
Know-how, select and apply advanced technologies of installation;
Organise and assure the abidance of performing installation and operation adjustment activities;
Plan an acceptance of assembled electrical equipment for properly use;
Plan and organise the technological management of electrical energy production, transmission, switchgear;
Plan and organise the inspection of electrical equipment technical state;
Plan and organise the maintenance of electrical equipment;
Prepare and manage operational and technical documentation related with the operation of electrical equipment;
Evaluate the environment of electrical energetic sector and possibilities of own enterprise;
Plan and organise activities of enterprise (subdivision);
Analyse and assess the data of market researches, indexes of economic enterprises activities.
Graduates who have chosen Power Distribution Networks Specialization will be able to::
Design electrical schemes of electricity networks and perform the calculation;
Organise maintenance of relay protection and automation;
Promptly discuss the remote control, alarms, interlocks, measuring equipment and devices;
Graduates who have chosen Companies in the Electricity Sector Specialization:
Operate the company’s electrical equipment according the purpose;
Qualitative manage and control company's electricity sector;
Assess the reliability of electrical equipment.

Activities of teaching and learning:
In the study process are applied various teaching and learning methods and the virtualization of study process as well. The student- centered teaching and learning oriented towards self- independent work, reasoned by tasks, a group work where Problem Based Learning takes a very important role.
In the programme is designed to reach an active students’ participation in the study process, a creation of educative environment applying such methods like and interactive lecture, discussions, a practical work, case studies, study of scientific literature and other informational references, solutions of problem based situations.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
In the study process accumulative score system is applied. Using this system, each score is based on the criteria linked to the program and module/subject learning outcomes. Final assessment of each module consists of the weigh average of
interim assessments of the subjects included into the module.
Information about student achievement and testing procedures is presented in the module program.
Assessment methods of each module and the subjects are described in the descriptions of the modules and subjects. Different methods used to assess study achievements: an examination, a course paper evaluation, an assessment of the project work, a practical work assessment, a test, a report presentation and others.
