The National Qualifications Registry of Greece is a special software application (Database) that will include the qualifications classified in the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and referenced to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
The graduates of the PhD in Education Sciences shall be able to: 1. Specify, interpret, and apply qualitative methods of analysis in educational research, while critically discussing and analysing modern / current issues concerning the qualitative and quantitative approaches to educational research. 2. Specify, interpret and apply statistical methods for analysis, along with modern methods for statistical analysis used in educational research. 3. Interpret and evaluate published research work from the field of education and from the field of their subjects of concern. 4. Identify, explain, and analyse the concepts and methods of modern research in education. 5. Plan research proposals through the application of various parameters for the research methodology in education and in the cognitive fields managed. 6. Evaluate and examine research proposals in every level. 7. Organise and conduct personal and independent research. 8. Produce and write dissertations at the highest level within the context of their cognitive subject. 9. Defend their doctoral dissertation with sufficiency and academic accuracy and quality. 10. Engage with teaching, publications and other research activities, at higher educational institute level. 11. Evaluate educational work and provide feedback through the already published literature.
DOCTORATE (DIDAKTORIKO DIPLOMA)

The Doctorate Programme of Studies aims to the following: 1. Expand the opportunities for entering a higher level of studies in education for candidates regarding the following subjects: a. Natural Sciences, b. Environmental education, c. Teacher Education, d. Didactics, e. Curricula f. History and Didactics g. Cultural Studies, h. New technologies, i. Sociology and Social Anthropology, j. Psychology, k. Special Education, l. Literature, m. Linguistics n. Theatre Education, o. Fine Arts and Visual Arts. 2. promote the professional development and upgrade the research activity, 3. cultivate research and practice in education within the context of academic ethics and professional integrity, 4. contribute to the development of a reflective and analytical stance towards academic education, 5) expand research and all kinds of academic collaboration between participants, the scholars, the educational institutions, and the academic faculty.

Access to this type is possible only for those who have obtained at least a level 7 qualification (unless it is provided for otherwise).
Holders of such type qualifications have access to programs of study of the same level.
Qualifications of this type are acquired via formal education.
