1. To understand the drawings of furniture constructions and other wooden articles.
2. To carry out the detailing of wooden articles, to make specification.
3. To prepare the sketch of the article.
4. To produce furniture of massive wood and particle boards of different construction and the decorative elements of this furniture.
5. To produce elements of simple upholstered furniture and other articles.
6. To carry out the works of furniture and other wooden article repair and renovation.
7. To choose assembling methods and carry out assembling works including  works in facilities.
8. To carry out work of gluing and veneering by using different glues and gluing devices; to determine the quality of gluing connections;
9. To choose materials for the work and to use them rationally.
10. To process wood with tools and hand-held power tools.
11. To prepare equipment, instruments, ancillary devices for the work and to test their compatibility with the requirements of work and environmental protection.
12. To carry out the mechanical wood processing works with working machines (tilting arbor saws, band saw machines, bed-type millers, milling machines, drilling machines, drilling - blistering machines, bench grinders, turning and other working machines).
13. To carry out the preparation works which are related to exploitation of machine tools and equipment (to choose appropriate cutting tools, to assess the quality of cutting instruments, to maintain and store the cutting tools, to maintain the wood processing machines, to set the cutting tools, to install and regulate the protective, ancillary devices or other technological equipment).
14. To carry out the chemical protection of the articles and finishing of furniture with hand tools (brusges, rolls) and sprinkling method.
15. To work in a work team, to schedule the work of your own and the work group.
