Learning outcomes are formulated in accordance with the relevant occupational standard: Occupational standards register



Competences:

1. The knowledge necessary for performance of the basic tasks of the professional activity at the level of notion:
1.1. technical graphic symbols;
1.2. storage conditions of materials, fitting and equipment;
1.3. operation principles of engineering communications;
1.4. basics of communication;
1.5. basics of accounting.
2. The knowledge necessary for performance of the basic tasks of the professional activity at the level of understanding:
2.1. technology of the engineering communications works;
2.2. building materials and tools;
2.3. assembling conditions set by the manufacturer;
2.4. materials, fitting, equipment to be used and their standards;
2.5. testing methods of the assembling process quality;
2.6. testing limits of  different materials and  equipment;
2.7. testing process of the requirements set by the manufacturer;
2.8. engineering communications and their connection types;
2.9. keeping the dynamic pressure in the engineering communications systems;
2.10. air and gas  hydraulic systems and their separation;
2.11. professional terms in the official language and in one foreign language.
3. The knowledge necessary for performance of the basic tasks of the professional activity at the level of use:
3.1. individual work planning;
3.2. engineering communications materials, equipment, their use and maintenance;
3.3. connection methods of pipelines and air pipes.
3.4. professional and specific instruments of the engineering communications assembly and their use conditions;
3.5. measuring instruments;
3.6. labour protection, electrical and fire safety;
3.7. different engineering communications system operation principles, operation and repair of the elements;
3.8. requirements of the environmental protection laws and regulations;
3.9. first aid;
3.10. official language;
3.11. one foreign language at the level of communication;
3.12. principles of professional and general ethics;
3.13. legal employment regulations.



Skills:

1. To perform the work duties by observing the requirements of the labour protection, electrical, fire safety and environmental protection laws and regulations.
2. To use individual protection means.
3. To read the building design documentation
4. To understand the specific character of the works to be performed individually according to the work task and choose appropriate work materials and tools, as well as prepare the list of the materials necessary for the assembly.
5. To connect pipelines and air pipes of different materials.
6. To perform assembly of pipeline and air pipe fastenings according to the technical project requirements and pipe manufacturer’s s requirements.
7. To select equipment, pipelines, cables, air pipes, closing and regulation fitting and their assembly location.
8. To understand the operation features of the engineering and communication system.
9. To perform assembly of the plumbing and engineering technical equipment and systems.
10. To work with insulation of the pipes and air pipes of different materials.
11. To work with the engineering communications fitting.
12. To vdetermine the damages and discrepancies of the material used in the engineering communications assembly visually.
13. To perform storage of the appropriate material at the work place.
14. To determine conformity of the tools with the engineering communications assembly works to be performed.
15. To use the professional and specific assembling tools of engineeering communications at work by keeping them in technical order.
16. To perform testing of the assembled systems.
17. To use the work executive documentation, operating instructions and to label engineering communications and numerate the fitting accordingly.
18. To perform service of the engineering communications and quality control of the performed work.
19. To identify the repairable elements of engineering communications.
20. To make repair of the engineering communications and quality control of the performed works.
21. To renew the working order of the engineering communications systems after the repair works.
22. To organize the own work, analyse the work routine independently, be responsible for the own work result.
23. To provide the first aid.
