1. The KNOWLEDGE at the level of notion:

2. The KNOWLEDGE at the level of understanding:
2.1. history of manicure and pedicure procedures;
2.2. structure of nails and skin;
2.3. nail shapes and their shaping;
2.4. nail files and their types;
2.5. nail polishes and their components, functions;
2.6. professional cosmetics of hands and legs;
2.7. indications and contraindications of the hand and leg massage;
2.8. science of colours;
2.9. professional terms in the official language and at least one foreign language.

3.1. manicure work technologies (classical treatment technique, dry treatment technique, SPA technique);

Skills:

1. To differentiate the health condition of hand and leg skin and nails, nail type and structure, to identify the changes in hand and leg skin and nails and give an advice to solve the customer’s problem at appropriate specialist - podiatrist or dermatologist.
2. To select, prepare and use disinfectants, follow the usage instructions, clean, disinfect and sterilize instruments, tools and equipment.
3. To select appropriate instruments, tools and equipment for the working process and appropriate professional hand and leg care products, follow the usage and storage instructions.
4. To calculate and dose the amount of the necessary hand and leg care professional cosmetics.
5. To recommend hand and leg care products to the customer for usage at home to keep the results of the procedure.
6. To sculpt the nail shape by meeting the hand appearance and customer requirements.
7. To use the basic technologies in the manicure and pedicure procedure (classical, dry treatment and SPA treatment technique).
8. To use nail nippers or scissors when treating the cuticle area without harming the tissues.
9. To polish the nails, know the polishing techniques and use different types of nail polishes.
10. To carry out the nail design.
11. To select and carry out the cosmetic massage procedures.
12. To meet the requirements of of the labour protection, fire protection and electrical safety laws and regulations.
13. To respect the consumer rights.
14. To provide the first aid.
15. To organize the working environment, carry out the epidemiological safety measures.
16. To comply with the personal hygiene standards.
17. To observe the environmental protection laws and regulations.
18. To use personal protective equipment.
18. To schedule and organize the work, take responsibility for the work results.
20. To find, select and use the information and create documentation for ensuring working procedures.
