Course Information

The discipline “Environmental, Process and Biotechnology” deals with the characteristics of environmental engineering and biotechnology and it is one of the key business sectors of the 21st century with enormous growth potentials.
The bachelor's programme lasts six semesters and includes the following subjects: mathematics and natural sciences, basics in process engineering, focus subjects of Biotechnology (molecular cell biology, genetics & molecular biology, environmental biotechnology & technical microbiology), economic & legal aspects of engineering and English & key skills (Biotechnology branch); mathematics and natural sciences, engineering basics, process engineering basics, focus subjects of Environmental Engineering (environmental analytics, prevention of water and air pollution, alternative energy & sustainability), economic & legal aspects of engineering, foreign language & social skills (Environmental Engineering branch). In the 5th or 6th semester students have to do a 12-week internship in Austria or abroad. Students have the possibility to spend the 5th or 6th semester at a partner university abroad.
