A network of centres linking together the Careers Guidance systems in Europe euroguidance promotes mobility, helping guidance counsellors and individuals to better understand the opportunities available to European citizens throughout Europe.
The University of Évora is a public institution of higher education whose origins date back to 1559. After being closed in the 18th century, the university reopens in 1979. At the present time, it is organized in departments which are grouped in schools related to specific scientific domains, such as:

Have successfully completed secondary school or have an equivalent qualification
Have completed one of the following university entrance exams (central exams prepared by the Ministry of Education and Science): Biology and Geology; or Mathematics; or Portuguese Language
The Social Services award scholarships to students who are financially challenged. Fresher students should apply for scholarships within 30 days after the first day of registration. For the remaining students, the application deadline is annually set by the Academic Services.
Besides the university services, students may also contact other institutions which award scholarships such as several government services and some foundations (e.g. Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Eugenio de Almeida Foundation, among others).

The university’s Social Services provide 528 beds in 7 halls of residence all over the city within easy and fast access to the university buildings. At present, the farthest residence is about 30 minutes away on foot.
Request for accommodation in halls of residence should be submitted to the Social Services.
