The National Qualifications Registry of Greece is a special software application (Database) that will include the qualifications classified in the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and referenced to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
Knowledge: The learner is taught the principles, methods, techniques, and systems consisting the background of the various agronomy cognitive subjects and delves into the specifications and the applications of procedures for the evaluation of natural raw materials used for the production of safe food of verified nutritional value, which meet the nutritional needs of modern man.
Skills: Deals with scientific and technological issues in the field of foods and with regard to their nutritional value.
Competences: Designs, implements, manages, and undertakes the technical responsibility in issues of science and food technology.
BACHELOR DEGREE (PTYCHIO/DIPLOMA ANOTATIS EKPAIDEFSIS)
Purpose and objectives: Production of safe foods of verified nutritional value, specifications and applications of procedures for the utilisation of natural raw materials, nutritional needs of the modern man. Representative segments of subjects taught: Food Biochemistry, Food Biotechnology, Food Analysis, Food Industry Equipment, Science Technology for Milk & Dairy Products, Oenology, Food Quality Control, Food Packaging, Food Preservation, Science & Technology for Fermented Products, Sanitation for Food Facilities and Industries, Food Physical Chemistry, Food and Beverage Chemistry.

The title of studies is necessary to work as an Agronomist. The agronomists are registered in the Geotechnical Chamber of Greece (GEOTEE) and exercise their professional rights within the context of their specialisation cycle, as per the provisions of Presidential Decree 344/2000 "Exercise of the agronomist profession", article 8, 9 and the specific legal and regulatory clauses that are in effect.
Access to this type of qualification have those who have completed at least the secondary education (level 4).
Holders of such qualifications gain access to study programmes at the same level or at level 7 or 8.
Qualifications of this type are acquired via formal education.
