The National Qualifications Registry of Greece is a special software application (Database) that will include the qualifications classified in the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and referenced to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
Knowledge: The learner is taught the principles, methods, techniques, and systems consisting the background of the various agronomy cognitive subjects and delves into the research and resolution of problems related to the financial, social, political, and environmental aspect of the rural sustainable development within the context of European integration and the requirements for the adjustment of the agri-food system of the country to the global market of agricultural products, foods, and services.
Skills: Copes with the requirements of modern Greek farming about issues of agricultural development.
Competences: Designs, implements, manages issues of agricultural development.

Purpose and objectives: The research and resolution of problems related to the financial, social, political, and environmental dimension of the rural sustainable development. Representative segments of subjects taught: Rural Sociology, Agricultural Policy, Marketing of Agricultural Products and Foods, Methods for Agro-economical and Sociological Research, Methods for Quantitative Financial Analysis, Agricultural Production Economics, Natural Resources & Environment Economics, Organisation and Management of Farms, Political Economy, Strategic Design of Food and Agriculture Business, Design and Evaluation of Development Programmes.

The title of studies is necessary to work as an Agronomist. The agronomists are registered in the Geotechnical Chamber of Greece (GEOTEE) and exercise their professional rights within the context of their specialisation cycle, as per the provisions of Presidential Decree 344/2000 "Exercise of the agronomist profession", article 8, 9 and the specific legal and regulatory clauses that are in effect.
Access to this type of qualification have those who have completed at least the secondary education (level 4).
Holders of such qualifications gain access to study programmes at the same level or at level 7 or 8.
Qualifications of this type are acquired via formal education.
