Course Information

Objective(s) of a study programme:
Acting theatre bachelor program is designed to prepare actors:
Who knows methods of active analysis in acting creation work and drama works
Who are able to use the acquired knowledge in the process of role creation; cultural, project work
Who can create the roles in theatre independently and competently
Learning outcomes:
Knowledge and its application:
A1 Knows the peculiarities of theatrical creation.
A2 Knows the method of active analysis, the connection of acting elements, such as scenic speech, rhythmics, theatrical singing, body plastic.
A3 Knows and understands theatre , art and music historical development.
Research abilities:
B1 Able to summarize the facts and phenomena, draw conclusions.
B2 Able to analyze literary works, to collect, analyze and summarize sources.
Special abilities:
C1 Able to organize cultural and artistic project applications, to create and implement cultural projects.
C2 Able to prepare for the role play independently.
C3 Able to plan, organize and implement performances.
C4 Able to tell fiction work persuasively.
C5 Able to create and maintain voice and body training exercises for theater groups.
Social abilities:
D1 Knows how to use the acquired knowledge in the process of role creation.
D2 Able to participate in cultural, project work.
D3 Able to express their thoughts understandably, clear and influential way.
Personal abilities:
E1 Able to create the roles in theatre independently and competently.
E2 Able to organize their work creatively and responsibly, to work individually and in a team, share ideas.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Working in groups, group project, individual counseling, practical exercises, exercises, workshops, presentation of literature review, discussion
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Exam, group project, individual project, peer assessment, self-assessment, portfolio, thesis.
Study subjects (modules), practical training:
Study field subjects (189 cr.) - acting, stage speech, stage movement, theater history, stage dance, stage rhythmic, theatrical singing, art and costume history, culture, culture, project management; final thesis;
subjects defined by the University and chosen by the student (30 cr.) - specialized knowledge of the language, science of education, attending optional university general education subjects; write a term paper; general subjects of university studies (21 cr.); practical training - 15 credits

Student Options:
Students can choise additional subjects from the same study field (6 credits):
Acting laboratory
or Event directing, Event Dramaturgy;
or Puppet Theatre Directing, Puppet Creation;
or Theatre directing, Scenography
Optional courses:
Distinctive features of a study programme:
1. In 5th and 6th semesters Students have the option to go into the direction of events, puppet theater directing, theater directing, or work with a visiting theater educators in Acting laboratory
2. Students has Culture project management, where learn to develop various projects and funds to finance theatrical - cultural activities
