The European Qualifications Framework (EQF) is a translation tool that helps communication and comparison between qualifications systems in Europe. Its eight common European reference levels are described in terms of learning outcomes: knowledge, skills and competences. This allows any national qualifications systems, national qualifications frameworks (NQFs) and qualifications in Europe to relate to the EQF levels. Learners, graduates, providers and employers can use these levels to understand and compare qualifications awarded in different countries and by different education and training systems.

    To study basics of life sciences necessary for mastering the content of pharmacy studies; - to acquire adequate knowledge of medicines and substances used in pharmaceutical industry, regulatory requirements associated with the practice of pharmacy and pharmaceutical research; - to master skills of applying theoretical knowledge and research methods to provide pharmaceutical care; - to work out and defend the Bachelor thesis for the total amount of 10 credit points.   2. Health Sciences Master's Degree in Pharmacy (LU)

    Adequate knowledge of the drugs and substances used in the pharmacy; - adequate knowledge about pharmaceutical technology and drug quality control; - adequate knowledge about drug action and metabolism, pharmacotherapy; - ability to carry out research projects, and to defend master thesis; - adequate practical and theoretical knowledge obtained by passing 6 month practice at pharmaceutical enterprises, and knowledge about pharmacy legislation, regulatory documents; - adequate specialization compiled from the obligatory elective courses in the Master degree program, research done during working out master thesis and practice.     Knowledge: The students are able to demonstrate in-depth and extended theoretical and methodological knowledge of clinical pharmacology, pharmacology, drug metabolism and their interaction, pharmaceutical biochemistry and toxicology, pharmacoeconomics, providing safe, rational and pharmacoeconomically justified diagnostics and pharmacotherapy.
