The European Qualifications Framework (EQF) is a translation tool that helps communication and comparison between qualifications systems in Europe. Its eight common European reference levels are described in terms of learning outcomes: knowledge, skills and competences. This allows any national qualifications systems, national qualifications frameworks (NQFs) and qualifications in Europe to relate to the EQF levels. Learners, graduates, providers and employers can use these levels to understand and compare qualifications awarded in different countries and by different education and training systems.

    The main goal of the programme is to prepare students for independent in-depth scientific research in their chosen sub-discipline of theology. The following objectives have been set forth for achieving this goal: - to provide opportunities for acquiring in-depth knowledge of the content, methodology, theories and development trends in the sub-disciplines of theology and religious studies as well as their practical application; - to ensure adequate conditions for successful writing of Master’s theses; - to facilitate the development of students’ creative abilities and to direct the most capable students for continuing their academic education in the doctoral programme; - to support student international exchange in the form of guest studies; - to promote international cooperation in the areas of theology and religious studies by involving foreign specialists necessary for the implementation of the study process.   2. Master of Humanities in Philosophy (LU)

    - to obtain knowledge and skills of analyzing problems in the field of history of philosophy, social philosophy, ethics, aesthetics and philosophy of science; - to master of linking traditional philosophical problems with contemporary debate by demonstrating good knowledge of philosophical texts, ability to identify and show their relevance in solving practical problems of life; - to acquire methods of philosophical research, ability to carry out independent scientific research work in the area of philosophy; - to develop and defend the Master’s thesis (20 credit points). The main aim of the Academic Master’s Degree Programme History is training of the students for the self-dependent research in the fields of history. Among the tasks of programme are following issues: to provide students with the possibility to acquire the theoretical principles of the science of history; to promote students to acquire secondary sources in history (historiography) and the principles of analysing the historical literature; to deeper knowledge on scientific research methods and technique.     The goal of the Bachelor of Theology and Religious Studies Programme is to enable students to acquire the basic knowledge and key methodological skills and competencies in theology and religious studies.
