    Future flight managers study radio location systems for flight management, aviation devices, aviation engines and their thermodynamics, flight mechanics, computer and radio navigation, remote and satellite navigation systems for flight management, principles of a flight and aircraft characteristics, air transport management, technologies of air traffic services, etc. Practical training is organized in four stages: after the second year of studies, students work in an aircraft simulator (3 weeks); after the third year of studies, students work in a tower simulator, and practice in an airfield and with regional flight management authorities (4 weeks); after the fourth year of studies, students are trained in a computerized flight management simulator and airfield under the control of a supervisor, where they manage visual flight and traffic (4 weeks); in the ninth semester, students work during flight managers shifts (3 weeks). The duration of practical training is 23 weeks. During training, the acquired skills of flight management, dissemination of meteorological information, communication with aircraft pilots, etc., are developed.     Students of aircraft piloting study programme in a period of five years are studying the following 52 subjects: basic university education subjects (mathematics, physics, chemistry, electrotechnics, theoretical mechanics, general engineering graphics, information technologies, mechanics of materials, philosophy, aviation history, fundamentals of scientific research and innovations, human safety, microprocessors and digital techniques); subjects of the study basics (flying, general navigation, principles of flight, meteorology, aviation and flight safety, radio communication rules and procedures, economics, management and law); special education subjects (human abilities and limits, aircraft communication, electronics, radio navigation and satellite systems and electrical equipment, aviation English, airports and light signal systems, airborne radar systems, aviation instruments, aviation engines and their thermodynamics); deepening subjects (flight dynamics, aircraft computer, radio navigation, airborne long range and satellite navigation systems, flight principles and aircraft airfoils, constructions and functional systems, air law, air carriage management, , flight planning and procedures). They also perform scientific researches in the aeronautics field. The scope of four flight practices is 19 credits.   7. Marine navigation

    Marine navigation study program is designed to prepare highly qualified navigators, able and capable to work in a wide range of unlimited tonnage sea-going vessels. The program is prepared in line with the IMO (International Marine Organization), STCW 78/95 (International Convention of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) and the Directive 2008/106/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council "On the minimum level of training of seafarers" requirements. The graduates are able to organize the operation of the ship and the crew work. The applicants must have secondary education, meet the admission requirements and be medically fit for work at sea. Future marine navigators study maritime English, contemporary and professional Lithuanian, applied mathematics, physics, labour, civil and environmental safety, technology of cargo carriage by sea, maritime law, maritime transport economics, ship's theory and construction, ship's handling and ship's equipment, navigation and piloting - 39 subjects in total. Five percent of the study programme are optional study subjects. Practical training is conducted in three stages: shipboard training - on simulators and on vessels (4 weeks), seagoing practice I (22 weeks) and pre-diploma seagoing practice (30 weeks) onboard seagoing ships.
