1. The KNOWLEDGE at the level of notion:
1.1. border guarding system operation ;
1.2. border control and immigration control service organization;
1.3. establishment and development of the European Union, institutional structure;
1.4. requirements set for position and occupational development;
1.5. public culture;
1.6. history of the State Border Guard;
1.7. functions and tasks of competent authorities.
2. The KNOWLEDGE at the level of notion understanding:
2.1. requirements of the laws and regulations in performance of the functions of the State Border Guard;
2.2. forbidden substances and objects, their possible hiding places and locations;
2.3. communication psychology;
2.4. methods and tactics of search and inspection;
2.5. cooperation order with competent authorities;
2.6. maintenance requirements of the State border, border signs, border ditches and border trenches;
2.7. detention and identification procedures of persons, vehicles and objects;
2.8. behavioural characteristics of offenders and external features;

3.1. immigration, residence, departure and transit provisions of a foreigner and their control procedures;
3.2. regime provisions of the border area, borderline, border crossing point places and their execution control procedure;
3.3. types of travel documents, vehicle documents, visas and residence permits, their protection components, possible falsification features and  methods of detection;
3.4. usage instructions of the information systems used in the State Border Guard;
3.5. actions in emergency situations;
3.6. use of risk analysis results;
3.7. profiling, interviewing, and identification of persons.
3.8. tactics of the State border surveillance;
3.9. border crossing features, tactics of search and detention of the border trespassers;
3.10. procedure of detention, observing, guarding, accommodation and resettlement of persons under supervision of the guard;
3.11. usage instructions of the technical of border control and immigration control equipment;

Skills:

1. To supervise the State border.
2. To perform maintenance operations of border signs, border ditches and border trenches.
3. To perform person and vehicle border control of persons and vehicles.
4. To use and keep in working order the technical equipment of border control and immigration control, engineering equipment.
5. To verify travel documents, vehicle documents, visas, residence permits, as well as detect possible falsifications in them by using technical equipment of border control and immigration control.
6. To control of the observance of provisions related to immigration, residence, transit and departure of foreigners.
7. To ensure observance of the State border, border area, borderline, and border crossing point regime.
8. To work with information systems used at the State Border Guard.  
9. To perform profiling, interviewing and identification of persons.
10. To perform a search, detection, detention, inspection, guarding and resettlement of offenders under supervision of the guard.
11. To perform search and inspection of vehicles, persons and and properties.
12. To use physical strength, specific tools, specific fighting techniques and firearms, and the service of border dogs where necessary.
13. To perform vehicle and object identification.  
14. To identify forbidden substances and objects and to remove them.
15. To draw up service and procedural documents.
16. To guard detainees in the detention room of the State Border Guard and placement in the accommodation centre for foreigners.
17. To perform forced deportation of a foreigner.
18. To explain the asylum granting process.
19. To explain the order of enforcement, contesting and appealing of the adopted judgements.
20. To cooperate with officials of the competent authorities when performing the occupational duties.
21. To communicate with persons.
22. To provide the first aid.
23. To observe the principle of undivided authority and service order.
24. To improve knowledge, abilities and physical readiness.
25. To orientate in the border area.
26. To work in a team, plan and organize one’s own activities.
27. To meet the labour protection requirements.
28. To keep safe work environment.
29. To establish positive communication, observe the standards of ethics and rules of conduct.
30. To have a good command of the official language.
31. To have a good command of one foreign language at the professional communication level.
32. To use professional terminology in the official language and one foreign language.
33. To perform tank order(military greeting, entrance and movements in the ranks, etc.)
34. To act in an infantry division in battle conditions.
