Available online: a table showing all actions being delivered by the Partnerships

The Urban Agenda and its partnerships continue to move forward on the release of a table showing the actions being implemented by the partnerships. The table is now available on our website and will be regularly updated by the partnerships.

If you want to know which actions are focusing on better regulation, which cities are leading actions, how many actions are touching upon SDGs, addressing functional urban areas, take in to account the gender balance etc this table will assist you.

Survey on the Urban Agenda for the EU

And do not forget to have your say on the Urban Agenda for the EU and its future development! The European Commission is conducting an assessment study on the Urban Agenda for the EU (UAEU). You are kindly invited to provide feedback on the implementation and performance of UAEU since its launch via the Pact of Amsterdam in 2016. Your views are central for this assessment! Events: sustainable energy week

If you’re planning on participating in the EU Sustainable Energy Week, join the Partnership on Energy Transition, who will be hosting a session to present their Action Plan during the event. Also, remember to contribute to the stakeholder consultation (details below), which forms part of an EU assessment study, by the end of the month.

News

The Table of Actions is now online on Futurium!

DG REGIO, with the support of the Technical Secretariat, has developed a table of actions whose main objective is to monitor and track the implementation of the Urban Agenda Partnerships’ Actions. The Table has been filled in cooperation with coordinators and action Leaders and it now contains information from all the 114 Actions of 12 Action Plans.

EU Sustainable Energy Week - 17-21 June - Brussels

The EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is the biggest event dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe. It comprises of a 3-day Policy Conference, a Networking Village, an EU Sustainable Energy Awards competition with a public vote for the citizens' award, and Energy Days which are local events held across Europe throughout the months of May and June.

European Urban Resilience Forum - 25 June - Bonn

Since 2013 the Open European Day - now European Urban Resilience Forum - offers a unique exchange platform where city representatives and stakeholders from various local and regional institutions come together to discuss strategies and actions for adapting to climate change and building urban resilience.

The working group on "Urban Resource Centres for waste prevention, re-use and recycling" of Partnership on Circular Economy have published a report based on 12 in-depth interviews.

Urban Deprivation/Poverty Observatories in the EU

The GIAU+S (Research group on Architecture, Urbanism and Sustainability of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) has drafted a comprehensive report on urban deprivation/poverty observatories in the EU.

Smaller Cities' Access to External Finance

Despite low interest rates and viability of investments, external finance only holds a small percentage of cities’ overall investment finance across the EU. What hinders smaller municipalities to access commercial bank loans, funds and other types of external financing?
