Customs: new agreement to improve trade flows between the EU and Moldova enters into force on 1 November
A new agreement between the EU and Republic of Moldova has entered into force on 1 November 2022, improving trade facilitation for businesses. The new arrangements mean that both the EU and Republic of Moldova will mutually recognise each other’s Authorised Economic Operators (AEOs) programmes, bringing together traders who meet certain criteria and who can therefore benefit from simplified customs arrangements.

EU and Japan strengthen economic cooperation through High Level Dialogue
The EU and Japan held their second High-level Economic Dialogue (HLED). The HLED was co-chaired by Executive Vice-President and Commissioner for Trade, Valdis Dombrovskis, and Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and the Capital Markets Union, Mairead McGuinness, with Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yoshimasa Hayashi, and Japanese Minister for Economy, Trade and Industry, Yasutoshi Nishimura.
