The VAT Expert Group (VEG) is a formal expert group composed of business representatives, tax practitioners and academics. Set up in 2012, the VEG’s mission is to provide advice and expertise to the Commission on the preparation of legislative acts, policy initiatives and any other matter relating to the preparation and implementation of EU legislation and other policy initiatives in the field of VAT.
The mandate of the current VEG’s members will expire on 30 September 2022 and a new call for applications for the selection of new members was launched on 5 July 2022. Interested individuals and organisations are invited to submit their application for membership to the Directorate-General for Taxation and Customs Union (TAXUD), European Commission. The deadline to submit applications is 5 August.
