Simpl attended the recent Data Sharing Festival held on 18-19th March in Rotterdam. In the opening talk, Ana Juan Ferrer (DG Connect) introduced Simpl and shared the latest updates from the programme.
At the Annual Community Event, we heard a common question: where does Simpl fit in the wider landscape, and what makes it different? Simpl‑Open provides an integrated open‑source middleware layer that helps initiatives stand up interoperable, sovereign data sharing. The approach is to integrate proven components and build what is missing, so contributors avoid reinventing the wheel.
