This brief contributes to policy on provision of digital skills. It uses data from Cedefop’s second European skills and jobs survey (ESJS2) and provides new evidence by describing the characteristics of the digitally-underskilled in the EU workforce and identifying characteristics of EU workers undertaking digital skills education and training.

Unpacking the impact of digital technologies in Education

While EU policy recognises the importance of digital technologies in enabling quality and inclusive education, robust evidence on the impact of these technologies is limited especially due to its dependency from the context of use. To address this challenge, this literature review analyses the focus, methodologies, and results of 92 papers on the impact of digital technologies in compulsory education.

Empowering schools to drive their digital transformation: Insights from the evaluation of SELFIE

In this science for policy brief we present findings from an evaluation study on the role of the SELFIE tool in the digital transformation of schools, which showed that SELFIE can be a useful tool to support the digital transformation in schools assisting them in organizational and strategic decisions.

Digital Transformation of VET workshop

On 7-8 March, we organised a workshop at JRC premises in Seville with the objective of discussing the work being done in the last 16 months on topics related to support the Digital Transformation of the Vocational Educational and Training (VET) sector. It reunited 35 experts, key stakeholders, educators, and policymakers, who discussed the findings, explored possible synergies and planned the next steps.
