EU Health and Food Safety’s Post

A Strong 💪 #HealthUnion is a top EU priority and remains one of the key issues for European citizens. On #WorldHealthDay, here are some examples of our actions over the past few years:   🔹 Reinforcing health security so that we are better prepared to prevent, detect and respond to future health threats 🔹Reforming the EU pharmaceutical legislation to make sure that everyone has access to safe and affordable medicines (read our #EUPharmaReform💊 mini-series here 👉 https://shorturl.at/uAMPT)  🔹Joining forces under #EUCancerPlan to make life-changing improvements on prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care 🔹Putting #mentalhealth in the spotlight with a new Comprehensive Approach 🔹Using a #OneHealth approach to address major threats like antimicrobial resistance #AMR   And our work is not limited to EU borders: Through the #EUGlobalHealthStrategy, we are investing EUR 4.4 billion to boost health in partner countries up to 2027. And we continue to show our support for Ukraine through health, including through medical evacuation and mental health support.   With a strong Health Union, we are better prepared for the future. We have strengthened our resilience against future threats and laid the groundwork for a healthier, safer Europe for all. #EUDelivers   Read our statement here 👉 https://europa.eu/!KBNcxG
