The project "European Surveys and Training to Improve Men Having Sex with Men (MSM) Community Health", funded by the 3rd EU Health Programme, held a Dissemination workshop hosted by DG SANTE in Luxembourg on 19 June 2019, back-to-back with the EU HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis and Tuberculosis Think Tank and Civil Society Forum meetings.
Participants, including stakeholders from national authorities, scientists, researchers, academics, clinicians, civil society organisations, as well as representatives from the EU HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis and Tuberculosis Think Tank and Civil Society Forum, had a close look at the aims, methods and key achievements across the three main outcomes of the project, namely:
- European online survey among MSM (EMIS 2017)
- Online survey about knowledge, attitudes, practices, and training needs of community health workers providing services for MSM in the EU and neighboring countries (ECHOES).
- Development and pilot testing of training programme for MSM-focused community health workers (ESTICOM TRAININGS).
They also discussed the ways to maximise the utility of key learnings from ESTICOM, and how to sustain those benefits over time.
