Industry of the future award winner announced

The Commission announced today that the winner of the first Industry of the Future Award is the project RAMP-PV. The award recognises EU-funded projects whose results make European industry more resilient, sustainable, and human-centric.

Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Mariya Gabriel, said:

"We need champions of change and innovation for our industry to continue bringing prosperity for all Europeans. Companies that help to reinvent ourselves are working for a more secure future. Developing new solutions that save raw materials could not come at a better time."

Have your voice heard: Commission launches Horizon Europe strategic planning process 2025-2027

Today, Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Mariya Gabriel officially launched the 2025-2027 strategic planning process for Horizon Europe during the conclusion of Day 1 of the European Research and Innovation Days.

Commissioner Gabriel said:

"Today marks an important milestone in the Horizon Europe strategic planning process. It will ensure that research and innovation funded by the EU generates maximum impact on the key challenges faced by all Europeans."

European Research and Innovation Days 2022 start today to discuss how EU research and innovation can help achieve Europe’s priorities for the future

The European Research and Innovation Days, Europe’s annual flagship event on the future of research and innovation, will kick off today at 13:45 CET. The fully virtual event will run until tomorrow 29 September.

Commissioner Gabriel said:

"Europe’s flagship research and innovation event is the annual moment to reflect, discuss and think ahead of how research and innovation can help achieve the world we want to live in. From deep tech innovation to young innovators and EU Missions, I look forward to taking part in this edition’s rich programme and get to know the contributions of its participants."
