EU-India join forces to promote start-up collaboration on E-Vehicles Batteries under Trade and Technology Council

The European Union (EU) and India today launched expressions of interest for start-ups working in Electric Vehicles (EVs) Battery Recycling to participate in a matchmaking event. This initiative takes place under the India-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC) announced by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi and Ms Ursula von der Leyen President of the European Commission, at their meeting in New Delhi in April 2022.

 
Procure4health: Apply to the 3rd call for twinnings

The EU-funded project Procure4Health is inviting public and private healthcare procurers to apply for the 3rd Call for Twinnings to exchange know-how about innovation procurement. Procure4Health will provide an appropriate environment for public and private procurers, as well as the wider health and social care community, to effectively share knowledge, build capacities of procurers, define common needs and advance innovation procurement in the EU. Apply before 17 June 2024 to receive €30,000 funding for your twinning proposal.

 
Communication on advanced materials for industrial leadership

The EC communication on advanced materials for industrial leadership calls for more innovation procurement to foster the uptake of advanced materials. Public procurers can play a leading role in driving innovation and should assess the value added of new enablers like advanced materials for the twin transition and EU’s resilience and economic security.

 
Consultation on EC white paper on R&D support for dual use technologies

The EC published a White Paper on options for enhancing research and development support for technologies with dual-use potential. The paper recognises the importance of innovation procurement for dual-use technologies and proposes possible ways to increase in particular EU funded pre-commercial procurements in this field. You can contribute to the consultation on this white paper before 30 April 2024.

 
Call for tenders: Innovative waste treatment solutions

The buyers group of the Norwegian waste management companies ØAS, ROAF, IVAR, Sesam Ressurs AS, and REG is inviting interested bidders to submit offers for their pre-commercial procurement to develop a system for improving the use of small residue waste (less than 60mm) and improving the reuse of the organic part of residue waste. European Innovation Agenda on the move: Commission presents progress on actions supporting home-grown innovation

Less than two years after its launch, the New European Innovation Agenda (NEIA) is in full swing. According to a report published today by the Commission, 13 out of its 25 actions have been completed while another 12 are ongoing. This ambitious agenda aims at boosting deep tech innovation and untapping innovation potential in Europe through a variety of actions in five flagship areas and with a central role of the European Innovation Council (EIC), as well as the European Institute for Innovation and technology (EIT).
