Talent Booster Mechanism in action. First results and ways forward: join online the event on 18 March

The event will showcase the support provided by the European Commission to Member States, regions, and cities through the  Pillars of the Talent Booster Mechanism (TBM). It will also allow to reflect on Cohesion policy’s role to tackle demographic change and harness talent in EU’s regions. It will provide an opportunity for regional stakeholders to highlight their experiences in designing solutions to challenges related to harnessing talent and as well as a dedicated occasion for expert exchanges and policy reflection.

Ahead of the meeting, Vice-President Raffaele Fitto said: “Ensuring that citizens have an effective right to stay in the place they call home and can remain in their communities to live and work,  is one of my priorities. The Talent Booster Mechanism is key to this and I welcome the event as an opportunity to discuss first results, concrete solutions which work on the ground, and ways forward to help regions tackle demographic shifts and harness talent”.

The first high-level event was held on November 2023 and gathered 120 key stakeholders at European, national, regional and local levels, with an additional 600 participants online. It launched the Harnessing Talent Platform and introduced the support offered to EU regions through the 8 pillars of the Talent Booster Mechanism.
