- 27 February 2025

The final report of the Cross-border regional labour market analysis project has just been released. It presents the main findings of the project commissioned by DG REGIO and carried out between June 2023 and November 2024 examining cross-border regions within the European Union. It intends to provide evidence-based insights to highlight the potentials and opportunities for a greater integration of the cross-border labour markets and develop concrete indications on how to produce aggregated cross-border labour market analyses.
A handbook, published separately, highlights the key findings and best practices identified through the project. It aims to support stakeholder groups, regional policy-makers and institutions to ensure better quality and effectiveness in their efforts to develop, implement, and reinforce cross-border labour market analyses.
Additionally, 11 annexes dedicated to the each of the case studies considered during the project are going to be published soon.
