Unveiling the New Resource and Creativity Center in the Province of Liège

On Saturday, June 24th, the public is welcomed to visit the new Center of the Resource and Creativity Center in the Province of Liège. Thanks to the financial support from the EU and the region, this glass and steel giant emerged and is a technological and environmental model. The B3 Center, dedicated to reading, creativity, and digital innovation, stands on three core pillars.

At the core of the B3 Center lies an expansive 8,000 square meter Resource Center, the largest of its kind in the Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles. It brings together the remarkable collections of the former Chiroux Library, boasting an impressive array of multimedia resources. With a collection of 600,000 items, including 400,000 books, 25,000 comics, and 100,000 CDs, DVDs, and vinyl records, the Resource Center transcends the traditional concept of a mere lending library. It serves as a vibrant hub for life, connection, and creativity. Visitors will also discover spaces dedicated to video gaming, study, and interactive experiences.

The B3 Center's Exploratory of Possibilities invites creatives to immerse themselves in a world of digital innovation and augmented reality. Equipped with cutting-edge digital tools, including a Fablab with 3D printers, laser cutters, and digital embroidery machines, the Center facilitates innovation and collaboration. Future additions, such as the Musiclab and a digital space for virtual reality experiences and digital arts, further enhance the creative landscape.

The B3 Center features also a dedicated Business Incubator designed to support start-ups and cultural enterprises. This specialized workspace encourages creativity, productivity, and the exchange of knowledge among entrepreneurs. Whether through exclusive or shared offices, this incubator fosters collaboration and facilitates the growth of new ventures.

The construction and development of the B3 Center represent a significant investment of €50 million, with €25 million contributed by the Province of Liège, alongside support from the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) and the Walloon government. Situated in the vibrant Outremeuse neighborhood of Liège, specifically in the renowned "Bavière Triangle", the B3 Center offers more than its three core pillars. Visitors can enjoy an agora, a versatile 160-seat auditorium, an exhibition hall, study areas for students, a welcoming brewery, and dedicated spaces for gamers.
