Ukrainian art comes to Brussels: a way to show Ukrainian culture at the heart of Europe

The exhibition “On the edge of the future” by the Ukrainian artists Sergiy Tkachenko and Serhiy Vilganovskiy, was showcased in Brussels during the 2023 EU Macro-regional strategies week.

This year edition of the EU Macro-regional strategies week was all about energy security, skills and funding opportunities for the four Macro-regional strategies, but without ever forgetting Russian unjustified aggression against Ukraine.

To commemorate the sad anniversary of the invasion and the importance of a common European future, the exhibition “On the edge of the future” by Sergiy Tkachenko and Serhiy Vilganovskiy, was showcased at the venue of the event. People coming from all over Europe had the chance to admire the beautiful and devastating paintings telling us a story of invasion, displacement, and uncertain future.

Taking this exhibition to Brussels shed light on the problems generated from the Russian aggression to Ukraine, but it also drew attention to the importance of keep cooperating and working together towards a European future for Ukraine.
