The open calls concern the 4 LIFE sub-programmes “Nature and Biodiversity”, “Circular Economy and Quality of life”, “Climate Mitigation and Adaptation” and “Clean Energy Transition sub-programme”.

The sub-programme Nature and Biodiversity supports projects for nature conservation and restoration in the Natura 2000 network, species protection, invasive alien species, and ecosystem restoration. The sub-programme Circular Economy and Quality of life supports actions such as support to public authorities to implement EU environment legislation, support to technologies and solutions that are ready to be implemented, integrated circular economy projects. The sub-programme Climate Mitigation and Adaptation supports projects that contributes to the 2030 energy and climate policy, EU’s Member States National and Energy Climate Plans, the EU’s long-term climate and energy strategy, and the EU adaptation strategy and related national adaptation strategies. The sub-programme Clean energy Transition supports the development, implementation, monitoring and enforcement of relevant EU legislation and policy on the transition to sustainable renewable energy or increased energy efficiency.
