More than a year ago, when 2022 was announced as the European Year of Youth, Interreg programmes did not hesitate for a second to climb on board the Youth train and DG Regional and Urban Policy’s flagship initiative “Youth4Cooperation”.

Regional campaigns are deployed around a familiar place and highlight EU-enabled ideas and initiatives that make a difference at the local level.

The company GDI has developed an app called “GDI Ensemble Floodsmart”, an innovative EU funded flood warning system from Croatia.

The EU-supported ‘Clusters meet Regions’ initiative facilitates the implementation of good practices where clusters play an active role in regional economies and are drivers for economic transition, as well as the industrial development of the regions. The European Cluster Collaboration Platform organises 13 European ‘Clusters meet Regions’ workshops in the second half of 2022 and throughout 2023. The ECCP is launching a Call for Expression of Interest to select the national/regional authorities and cluster organisations to run each of these important events. Apply by 2 December 2022, at 18.00 CEST.

Today, Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira, will attend and deliver a speech at the Annual Conference of Presidents of the Outermost Regions at the European Parliament, in Brussels. The event will be chaired by President of the Territorial Collectivity of Martinique, Serge Letchimy.

Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Grand-Est regions in France will receive €190 million in grants from the Just Transition Fund (JTF) to tackle the socio-economic consequences of the decarbonisation of its polluting industries.
