The Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) initiative is a unique opportunity to have a lasting impact on European cooperation and an investment in the future of regions. Now celebrating its 5th anniversary, IVY has already made an impact on the lives of over 780 young people who participated in the programme along with their mentors.

The European Commission launched a new call for proposals under the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) for “Regional flagships projects supporting sustainable blue economy in EU sea basins”.

Following the large interest to the initiative by young people, the deadline for submission of application has been postponed to offer more opportunities for participation.

We selected 15 projects that were winners or finalists in the previous editions of the competition, and we sent Youth4Regions alumni to film new short documentaries about them. The public vote to award the winner and runners-up is open until 15 November and the celebratory ceremony will be held on 17 November in Évora, in the presence of Commissioner Ferreira.
