Calls are open for the Promotion of Agricultural Products 2024 EU-funding

Looking to sell, promote, and export EU food around the globe? The European Commission launches two calls for proposals on the “Information provision and promotion measures concerning agricultural products”. The available budget to co-finance SIMPLE and MULTI campaigns amounts to €176.4 million. The deadline for submissions is 14 May 2024.

High-level Mission to Kazakhstan

EU Agriculture Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski will visit Kazakhstan on 27-31 May 2024, accompanied by a business delegation of senior representatives from the EU agri-food sector, in conjunction with the European Commission’s presence at Interfood Astana Fair. The purpose of this visit is to facilitate European exports to Kazakhstan and expand their market presence. The registration deadline for interested applicants is 26 January 2024.

EU will showcase the excellence of EU food and beverage products at Foodex 2024 Japan

From 5 to 8 March, the EU will host a Pavilion at the Foodex fair in Tokyo, Japan. The programme includes cooking shows with renowned chefs, info sessions and food tastings. The Pavilion will present the EU food and beverage products to the visitors interested in experiencing the excellence of EU ingredients, enhancing the continued efforts to showcase the ‘Perfect match!’ between European products and local Japanese ingredients.

Campaigns in the spotlight

Enjoy top quality fruits and vegetables from Europe

By raising awareness on the high food safety standards and the quality of the European fruits and vegetables, the Mediterranean Combo campaign highlights the beneficial impact of integrating at least five portions of fruits and vegetables into your everyday diet. The campaign also aims to increase sales value in the markets of Greece, Spain, Germany, and Hungary. Seven producer organizations from Greece and one trade organization from Spain carry out the initiative. The EU contributes with €2.72 million.
