2023 calls for the promotion of agricultural products: evaluation results expected in autumn
|
The European Commission is evaluating 98 SIMPLE and 21 MULTI proposals submitted to two calls for proposals, concerning promotional measures for agricultural products implemented within the internal market and third countries. Successful applicants will be informed about the evaluations’ outcome in autumn 2023.

EU export promotion seminar showcases trade opportunities between Europe and Thailand
|
On 7 and 8 June the EU held a seminar in Bangkok, Thailand. EU and Thai officials, industry experts, importers and sector organisations explored how to improve trade opportunities for EU agri-food products in Thailand and discussed the EU’s food safety and quality standards. This seminar was part of a wider series of promotional activities and events organised by the EU in Thailand, such as the communication campaign titled - “Colours by Europe, Tastes of Excellence”.

High level visit to Japan
|
From 2 to 6 July 2023, the European Commissioner for Agriculture, Janusz Wojciechowski, led an EU business delegation from the European agri-food sector to Japan. The purpose of this visit was to facilitate European agricultural food and beverage exports, and to benefit from the positive outcomes of the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement, in force since 2019.

Promoting a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables
|
The FV4MILLENNIALS programme strives to increase consumption of fruit and vegetables among Millennials (aged 25-35) in France and Ireland. It also aims at raising awareness of their nutritional benefits, versatility and sustainability. The EU contributes to this three-year project with €4 347 851,64.
