The European Commission selects 40 research projects for funding. The projects result from the Horizon 2020 Green Deal call for proposal. They will share nearly €428 million of EU funding to provide innovative solutions that contribute to the European Green Deal.

The EU invests over €310 million in research to support sustainability in agriculture, forestry, marine and bio-based sectors. The European Commission has selected 44 projects to address global challenges such as food security and climate change mitigation.

The European Commission has selected 25 projects to ‘green’ the European economy in line with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement. The projects succeeded in calls for proposals launched under Horizon 2020.
