La 43e édition des 20km de Bruxelles aura lieu le dimanche 28 mai 2023. Cette année, notre équipe « Running for Europe » (RfE) est invitée à courir ou marcher au nom de la sauvegarde de la démocratie en Europe dans le cadre de la  campagne « Démocratie en action » qui vise à renforcer le pouvoir des citoyens et construire des démocraties plus résilientes au sein de l’Union européenne. Vous êtes cordialement invités à nous rejoindre ! 

Rejoindre l’équipe de « Running for Europe » signifie également se ‘mobiliser’ pour une bonne cause. Ainsi, les fonds collectés grâce aux dons de l’’équipe seront versés à Amnesty International, une organisation non gouvernementale qui milite pour les Droits de l’Homme. Si vous ne pouvez pas participer à cet évènement, il vous est néanmoins possible de faire partie de l’équipe de la Commission en faisant un don (cf. informations pratiques ci-dessous) 

Pour ceux d’entre vous qui sont à Bruxelles ou dans les environs et qui souhaitent rejoindre notre équipe, vous trouverez toutes les informations pratiques pour les inscriptions ci-dessous : 

La course débutera à partir de 10h00 dans les 6 boxes de départ traditionnels. Votre temps estimé déterminera votre box. Les 20km de Bruxelles sont également ouverts aux marcheurs. Le temps maximum de la course a été de ce fait porté à 5 heures. 

Si vous souhaitez vous inscrire après le 30 avril, vous devrez informer l’équipe organisatrice de RfE de votre enregistrement par email à EC-RUNNING-FOR-EUROPE@ec.europa.eu. Vous devrez aller retirer vous-même votre numéro de dossard au bureau Sibp (17, rue de la Chapelle, 1000 Bruxelles). Vous aurez bien entendu toujours la possibilité d’obtenir votre t-shirt de course. 

Afin de finaliser votre inscription, merci de bien vouloir suivre les 3 étapes suivantes : 

1. Comment puis-je m’inscrire ? 

   Pour vous inscrire, veuillez utiliser ce lien (code de l’équipe RUNN16930) et régler les frais d’inscription de 28€ directement auprès de l’organisateur de l’évènement : Sibp-Syndicat d'Initiative-Bruxelles Promotion 1886. Les inscriptions sont ouvertes jusqu’au 30 avril.  

2. Comment faire un don à Amnesty International ? 

   Une fois votre inscription faite et vos frais d’inscription réglés, merci de procéder au paiement de votre don de 10€ (ou plus si vous le souhaitez) à Amnesty International en utilisant le lien ci-après Aider.amnesty.be/20km  ou le numéro de compte suivant : BE85 0012 0000 7006 avec la communication « Running for Europe » 

3. Comment récupérer mon maillot et mon dossard ? 

   Le comité d’organisation de RfE vous invite à répondre ce questionnaire afin d’organiser et faciliter la distribution des dossards et des t-shirts dans nos bureaux.

The 43rd edition of the 20km of Brussels will take place on Sunday 28 May 2023. This year the Running for Europe team will run and walk to safeguard our European democracy with the “Democracy in Action” campaign which aims to empower citizens and build democracies that are more resilient across the EU. You are warmly welcome to join us! 

Joining the Running for Europe team also means running or walking for a good cause. The team will be raising funds for Amnesty International, an international non-governmental organisation that campaigns for human rights. If you cannot be with us in Brussels, you can still be part of the Commission team by donating (see below for details). 

For those who are near Brussels and would like to join the team, all the practical information on how to register is below: 

The race will start at 10.00 am in the traditional 6 start boxes. Your estimated time will determine your start box. The Brussels 20 km is also open to walkers. The maximum time of the race has been increased to 5 hours. 

Registration is open from now until 30 April. If you wish to register after 30 April, you must inform the RfE organising team about your registration (email below) and collect your race number yourself from the Sibp office (17 rue de la Chapelle, 1000 Brussels). You will still be entitled to a running vest. 

To complete your registration, please follow the three steps: 

1. Register for the 20 km 

   First register via the following link (Team code: RUNN16930) and pay the registration fee of EUR 28 directly to the organisers of the 20 km of Brussels (Sibp-Syndicat d'Initiative-Bruxelles Promotion 1886).

2. Donate to Amnesty International 

   Once you have paid your registration fee, please proceed to transfer your EUR 10 donation (or more if you wish) to Amnesty International digitally:  Aider.amnesty.be/20km or by using the following bank account number: BE85 0012 0000 7006 with the communication:  “Running for Europe”.  

   You are welcome to contribute to the fundraising even if you do not wish to participate in the race. 

3. Distribution of your race number and running vest 

   Please fill in the short survey so that the organizing committee of Running for Europe can organise and facilitate the distribution of the race numbers and running vests in the Commission building.
