On 27-31 March, representatives of around 130 EU delegations met in Brussels to attend a series of conferences and workshops tailored to inform their work on the ground and to meet their counterparts in headquarters. The sessions were designed to present the policies in place to enhance biodiversity and fight climate change and to offer an overview of tools and practices at the disposal of EU delegations.

On 29 March, Margaritis Schinas attended a dinner in Alexandria, together with EU Ambassador to Egypt Christian Berger and representatives of the project Enhancing Business Support Organisations and Business Networks in the Southern Neighbourhood (EBSOMED) to discuss EU-Egypt relations.

In the last week of April, Henrike Trautmann took part, alongside Director General Gert Jan Koopman and other European Commission representatives, in a visit to Egypt. In this framework, a meeting with Dr. Alaa Ezz, Secretary General of the Confederation of Egyptian European Chambers CEEBA, was organised.
