‘My Maps’ - From the Pilot Phase to an Easy to Use Practical Tool!

The Pilot Phase of the European Atlas of the Seas’ My Maps tool has been successfully completed! My Maps makes it possible for everyone to create their own working space in the Atlas. Interesting feedback received during the survey allowed to identify what could be done to further facilitate its use and ensure it meets teachers’ needs. Have you not tried it yet? Make sure that you watch the My Maps video tutorial and dive in!

Eight EMFAF projects kickstarted their work to develop the next generation of blue skills

The “Blue careers for a sustainable blue economy” call made available nearly EUR 7.5 million to contribute to the development of the next generation of blue skills and to provide opportunities for attractive and sustainable maritime careers.

October 24th, 2023 marked the conclusion of a remarkable Blue Schools project - Som Escoles Blaves (We are Blue Schools). The EU4Ocean Platform: a wide diversity of expertise to increase Ocean Literacy

Since it was launched in 2020, the EU4Ocean Platform has grown from a network of 76 founding members to a network of 160 members in 23 European Union Members States and 7 other countries. The diversity in expertise and experience in the Platform is key to enhance Ocean Literacy given the necessary multidisciplinary approaches required to better understand how the ocean influences us, how we influence the ocean and how we can work together towards protecting and sustainably managing the ocean. EU4Ocean Platform members met online on 9 November 2023 to discuss future opportunities for collaboration.
