Evaluation of 2014-2020 REC and Justice programmes

In March 2022, the College of Commissioners adopted the reports assessing the implementation and achievements of the 2014-2020 Justice programme and the 2014-2020 Rights, Equality, and Citizenship programme. The report found both programmes had positive impacts and achievements.

The third annual Rule of Law report is out
|
The rule of law is one of the fundamental values upon which the EU is built. For the first time, the annual report foresees country-specific recommendations to encourage Member States to continue their reforms and improvement processes.

Justice scoreboard 2022: curious to know how good, efficient and independent is justice in your country?
|
The Commission’s annual Justice Scoreboard compares the efficiency, quality and independence of justice systems in the Member States. The tenth edition, presented in May, comes with novelties such as data on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the efficiency of justice systems and on accessibility to justice for people with disabilities.

Guidelines on creating child-friendly written documents
|
To put it in children’s words: "All documents should be understandable to children because children deserve to know what their rights are, in a way that is suitable for them. Because understanding the world around you and protecting yourself is never a bad thing".

Handbook on the rights of the child updated (2022)
|
The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights published the second edition of their Handbook on European law relating to the rights of the child.
