Some people say that February is already too late to say Happy New Year, but we are not one of them. We would like to wish our dear readers all the best in 2020. May this year be good for all of us and may it bring best for children.
In this special edition of the newsletter, we would like to remind you about the call for proposals under the Rights, Equality and Citizenship (REC) programme that were opened for submission on 15 January with deadlines on 1 and 29 April and about our database on promising practices that is waiting for your input.
We will also provide you some tips on child safeguarding and child protection policies in the context of our funding opportunities:

CHILD SAFEGUARDING and CHILD PROTECTION POLICY – tips and examples
|
Child protection policies are required from organisations that will work directly with children and apply for funds under Rights, Equality and Citizenship (REC) programme (rights of the child and violence against children priorities).
In the next paragraphs, we explain, what does child safeguarding and child protection policy (CPP) mean, why is it important to have it and apply it when working with children, when it is mandatory to submit them with the fund application and what happens if it is not. We also give some tips on how to develop the CPP and links to good CPPs for inspiration.
